Dice MB has no sound

Finally got around to installing my Dice MB on my 4.4 e53 with DSP today. Problem is there is no sound. When I change mode to CD, it the screen displays the song playing but I hear no audio. (ipod itself says "Dice" on it too) Also I am unable to get to the bluetooth pairing menu. Anyone know what may be going on?

Did you buy the DSP version to go with your DSP car? Some DSP vehicles use a digital input on the amp for CDC audio. You need the DSP A/D from DICE.

I have the MBR-1500 for BMW and the DSP Module. I was not aware that their is a DSP version of the mediabridge. I thought I just needed the DSP module to go with the standard 1500??

You appear to have the parts needed to provide a digital signal to the DSP amp. Did you check if your DSP amp needs a digital signal? I don't know when or if things changed during the production run. The DICE website or support threads should be able to assist.

But this is where your problem lies - around digital/not digital audio.

What is the year of your X5?

Tom, my X5 is a 2003 4.4 with Nav/DSP/16:9 screen

dip switches set to 16:9. i called dice today and they recommended me trying to install without the dsp module which makes no sense because originally I was told dsp equipped radios needed the dsp module. weird

2003 would likely be equipped with analog DSP, meaning no DSP adapter is required.

Bypass the DSP and plug directly into the X5's 6-pin connector to see if you get audio.

Worked like a charm. Thanks Tom! You came through again.
