CD changer and DSP cable

I'm installing a factory 6 CD changer in my 2004 X5 w/DSP and the kit came with a DSP cable. I plugged in the 3 pin power/I BUS connector, and the changer works fine with the 6 pin connector installed. But what about the coax cable that I got with my kit? I bought the kit from Bavarian Autosport and their catalog noted that the cable was required for DSP systems, but I can't figure out where to plug it in? Any help would be appreciated.

You probably don't need it. See if it works without it.

Many X5s came with the coaxial bypassed. They took the analog op of the CD-C and converted that to digital in the DSP amp (they all have A/D converters for the A F and tape audio).

Most 2003 and later DSP sysytems no longer use the coax cable and use the 6-pin connector to interface the sound to the amp instead. As long as everything works, you are good to go

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll just return the DSP coaxial cable since it won't be used.
