XM Radio Install
I have a 2001 with DSP, NAV and 6 CD changer and want to integrate the Roady 2 (Delphi) with it. Is there an adaptor to use the current head to display the XM info? I am currently using the tape adapter and the sound quality is awful. The FM modulater is worthless. I read the threads that deal with the commander units and xm direct units. I appreciate anyone's help. I am new here.

One is to replace your radio module with a newer one that supports AUX input. That is what I did with mine. Crevier had some remanufactured units recently for only $352 - a steal!! See http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums...6382073-2.html Another option is to install a Blitzsafe, Belkin or Soundgate AUX input adaptor. You can get more details on these from their web sites. A final alternative is to make your own AUX input using your tape unit. See http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/M...e%20inputs.htm for an example of how this can be done. |
