Will HiFi Amp Improve Base Sound System?

Is this plug and play with a 2009 X5 with base sound system? Also, will this improve the sound in any way?

I will not replace factory speakers with anything aftermarket (maybe BSW Stage 1 down the road) and I will not be adding an aftermarket amp to these speakers.

Just curious what benefit this might have since it's a factory HiFi amp.

I have already spent abt 1K for stage one upgrade, now with the amp:( Imho, audio system does not have good design and set up to burn more cash! Why the hell I did not order premium sound:(

One of the best upgrades you can do Is play 24BIT recorded CD'S. The sound of your base system will improve dramatically. The reason why is the that fine art of audio engineering is seldom praticed because many people believe MP3s is the sound of real music. Trust me when I say it isn't. Someone once asked me when I got the new sub installed. I replied nothing new just an extremely well recorded CD.

Well, thanks for the replies. I was afraid this was the case. I bought my X5 CPO'd with all of the options I "needed" (Sport, Premium, Tech, Cold Weather, Rear Climate) and never paid attention to Premium Sound.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with the sound. This SAV seems much more advanced/complicated to upgrade sound compared to my E46 sedan.

Unfortunately if you do not have the output/speaker locations the amp will not do much. They are designed for each particular package so the upgrade will work but not up to the expectations.

Since you have Base Audio you might be interested in our Stage 1 package. Have you seen the information on this package for your E70?

I checked the BSW website but I only see a speaker upgrade. I'm looking to only upgrade the amplifier. Am I missing something Halston?:dunno:
