radio module is located in the battery compartment, in the "L" shaped plastic carrier hidden under an "L" shaped cover with BMW written on it, right next to the battery.

take the screws out, pull the cover with "BMW" on it out, you will see radio module, the PDC module, the trailer module if you have tow package... take 4 more screws out, pule the carriet out, the cables will prevent you from completely removing the carier out, the radio module is on the left side, with the antenna wire connected and a big, square plug that has smaller plugs inside the big plug...

Wats the deal with this plastic battery trunk tray? Is it known to leak, im goin to try to remove it and reseal it for preventitive measures,

Radio module rusted

check for the source of water and make sure it does not happen again... there are little plugs at the bottom that might let water in (or, maybe out, i forgot their purpose...) leaky sunroof waterchannel might not be the culprit here...

Gurjit 11-09-2012 01:30 AM

Thers water in this tray, the tray is not dripping any water, i had my sunroof right side flapper stuck so i got tons of water in trunk last week

Ima fill this thing with water n c if its leaking, then silicon it and c wat happens in the nxt couple of days

Gurjit 11-09-2012 01:34 AM

Ok filled tray full of water, no sign of leaks

ill call the dealer 2maro and see if they have the seal in stock. if not im going to just silicon it and hope for the best :dunno:

Gurjit 11-09-2012 11:36 PM
