IceLink plays but cuts out constantly for less than a second
I installed the Ice Link plus. Car has DSP, no Nav. Everything was working great - titles on mid, great sound, no hiss, really excellent. Now the sound will cut out for less than a second and it does this constantly. Advice please?
2004, X5, 3.0, DSP Thanks |
I have the exact same problem. I also have DSP and I think it has to do with the power to the DSP module. I can force the sound to cut out by turning on the rear defroster. I have the add-a-circuit in the fase panel http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=071-580 and that provides power to the convertor. I was thinking of trying this for power http://www.xoutpost.com/stereo-system...p-systems.html
I'll let you know...just waiting for it to get a little warmer outside to do the soldering. |

I had the exact same issue as just installed it last week, sound would cut off every second, the problem was the power to the dsp module. What I did was follow this cable modification:
http://www.xoutpost.com/showthread.ph...=icelink+cable it works great now, dont need an extra power or splicing and have never had any issues. I had searched a lot too and finally this resolved my issue. |
Well I just performed the same modification. I only modifed the power connection and not the audio cables. I still have the power problem occasionally but not nearly as often. The sound seems to cut out occasionally.
