Modifying IceLink cable for DSP power
Some people have asked for clarification of how I modified my IceLink Plus cable to connect the DSP adapter device to the car. Here are a few pictures that hopefully shed light on the subject. This is only for vehicles that require the DSP adapter for proper function of the IceLink (my 2006 X5 did).

This post was helpful in installing power to my DSP.
I was looking for something like this in the FAQ.

We would prefer a separate power source so you are not pulling power from the ice>Link - you could tap off of a purple wire w/ white stripe in the same area.

Tom, I understand the concern regarding current draw, but the current draw of a CD changer compared to the current draw of Ice->Link and DAC is probably similar. I've been using my configuration detailed in the photos above for almost a year without problem.
