Since the disks are updated annually, why go to the trouble when you'll be replacing it in the not too distant future? As a suggestion, go to http://update.navteq.com/ and submit a request to have a POI added to the next disk update. :dunno:

Well one idea would be to insert all known fixed installed speed-limit checks (about 9,000 known places in Germany) as POI (however without an audible warning like in TomTomGO this does not help that much...)

Hello,

it would be really interesting if someone with programming background can tackle this issue, isn' it?

I second that, this is my biggest gripe with the BMW system. my TomTom was great for this reason but I don't really want to have to "plunge" it to the windscreen when i have a two grand built in system. If only !!!!!!

Hello,

i was able to add new Menu of Speedtraps to my DVD and did a php Script to convert the TomTom Speedtrap Data to needed *.url file.

Had trouble burning working dvd's but since editing nero build images with www.magiciso.com can do this too.

But i still need help converting the GPS position Data to the DVD High Version Format. And i was not able to buil a *idx file since now.

Anybody can help here?

Further Problems in next step:

1. Display of own POI Icon for this Category.

2. Display of all POI of this Speed Trap Category.

3. Getting Audio signals when approaching an defined area of an speed trap. Perhaps the firmware have to be hacked for this?

Hola lupito_ct,

parece perfecto.

But the most important question is - have you done this with a DVD High or Professional, because there are others who made such "own" POIs work within a DVD Professional.

Which DVD had you "pimped"? :)

Ojala, tengas la solucion que buscamos desde bastante tiempo.
