Accept Screen Question

I've read all the docs on eliminating the Accept Screen and am still unsure what will happen to the rest of the interface after the downgrade/upgrade. I have a 2002 X5 3.0i with a Mark III Nav. I have read that once you complete the process, you lose some of the Split Screen functionality. I am trying to get a grip on what you lose. If I lose the Emergency option, no big deal. If I lose the ability to split screen the Audio and whatever and the trip computer and whatever, I'm cool with that as I never ever stay on those screens. If I lose the ability to split screen the Navigation screen ie map on one side and direction on the other side, that's a big deal.

Although isn't the '03 a Mark IV DVD-based system? I wonder is that changes anything...

The only split screen functionality you could potentially lose is when you are in navigation mode and you press the button that looks like two interleaved boxes that switches you to the radio view mode. With splitscreen on you would see the radio information in the left half of the window and still see navigational information on the right side of the window. If you lose some functionality it will cause the radio information to be displayed on the full screen.

All other navigation split screen functionality will continue to work as normal.

As a clarification, you didn't really get rid of it. Rather, the Stealth One software emulates you pushing the "accept" button so that you don't have to bother with it.

Doing what the OP is asking about truely does eliminate it completely.

I really want to get rid of the "Accept" prompt. Do you have to go to the dealership to have the software downloads done? Does it work every time? The article states:"the navigation system may reset out of USA mode"

Any easier way to do it? I have searched the board but come up with limited information.

I did my MKIII myself. I used a Ver. 20 to downgrade and a Ver.24 to upgrade, as that was what I had.
