On my MKiv nav unit when you go to the information screen, into info on city the part where it says disable icons I can get to turn on, can anyone help with this.

You first have to have icons on your screen before you can disable icons. Ask navi for some information. When the icons show up go back to that screen and then you can select disable icons.
