What does Route Magnet feature do?
 

Seemed to have popped up on my Nav system during recent upgrades.

It's like setting a waypoint. It makes sure that the route planner takes you via the specified route magnet.

For example, if you want to go from A -- B, the route is calculated. Lets say you don't like the route it calculates because you know that one of the roads on the list has major roadworks - you can then use route magnet to specify a waypoint on a different road that would ensure you bypass the roadworks.

iirc, route magnet option is only shown in euro mode.. is that right? where does the option appear?

(mine is still set to us, w/ split screen, feet, and all)

Yes, as far as I am aware this is still just a feature available if you are in Euro mode. Very handy to have.
