V27 Perspective mode tweaking
 

I'm looking through the files of v.27 upgrade with file juicer (I'm a mac guy ;) and have found in navboot the sky image that is used in perspective mode it's a 500x92 pixels jpeg. I guess it can be changed, but gif extractor might not find it, so probably some direct hex editing may be necessary. A mini splash is also included in the file so can be used / changed.

I am looking for a way to change the color schemes - if you have any ideas how to do it, please let me know

Clouds are stored in 'romicons' module as JPEG image. It can be changed. You also can search for PNG images, will see many interesting :)
Changing color scheme is not so easy since it's stored in the NVR. You can change it by special tool located in 'navboot' file, but you need to connect serial port to your navigation.
