problems with mk4 and v27
 

hallo! i'm a new user and i'm from italy..so i'm sorry for my bad english..i hope that you understand me..
i' have done the upgrade from mk3 to an mk4 with v27 installed..(the seller sell me it with the software v27 included, so i did not the upgrade to myself)..
the mk4 work but it is slow on startup....when i open the door the bmw logo doesn't appair at the same time i open the dorr but after 20 second and more..:mad: the boot of navi seem so slowly..after logo appair the words: wait please for more second too..the navigation is ok after boot...

what i can do? if i turn off the battery for some minutes the situation can become better? there is a way to reset the mk4 after installation?yesterday it doesn't found the dvd too...i'm sad!!:tsk:

please help me..can i try too reinstall the v27 software without downgrade to the v26? it will be a good thing?

Are you using a copy of the map DVD or an original? If it's a copy (your own backup of course) then it may be that it is only just beeing read by the Nav Computer, try an original - even an original CD Map from your Mk III would do.

i'm using a copy..not an original dvd...

thanks for answer...so you think that can be a problem of dvd map, not of the mk4 navi....

but why the screen logo doesn't appair at the same moment of open door like before with mk3? it can be really a problem of map dvd?

there is another problem..when i swith from gps menu to tv, the screen become crazy..go down an up with high refresh..and is impossible to read or see tv..i must to turn off the car to make it work fine...

Try Downloading the v26 or v27 from the forum and installing it onto the computer

i have tried with cd navtech 2006_1 (only italy) and now the mk4 works fine..thanks for answer..now the only problem is when i switch from gps and tv and viceversa..but if i choose the av channel there aren't problems...

Have you set the country setting for the TV tuner? It's an option from the menu, can't remember exactly where.

yes, but i can't resolve the problem whit this way..only if i switch from the av channel or from ntsc system (we use pal)
