Unplugging the Nav Drive

It seems like a big plug that's in there pretty good. With the cd changer in there, there's not much room to work with. Even with bracket bolts out, you can't really pull the drive out to take a look because there isn't much slack in the harness. ANy tips/tricks to getting the plug out?

Which plug do you mean? The black coax cable for the antenna?

Both. Can't really tell what's going on back there since you can barely pull it out.

The coax simply pulls out, but be gentle and steady with it.

The blue and maroon harnesses have a button you push and then you can slide the lever on the harness down to unplug. Can't find a pic to illustrate unfortunately.

Seems strange that the Nav drive wires have virtually no slack- check if they're wrapped around or caught on something.

Here's a pic of a similar harness:

See the black plastic piece on the blue harness? The release button for the harness is right in front of it, and the black plastic piece swings down and as it does that, releases from the plug.

You have two of these on the back of your Nav drive- one blue like the one in the above pic, and one is maroon.

Ah, cut wires and splice them back together when you're done.

Thanks JV, it worked just like you said.
