Getting Rid of "Accept" Screen

I'm sure the answer to this is someplace in some thread....but I'll ask it again: How do I get rid of the accept screen that starts up every time i start the car/want to use the nav?

Some have suggested down grading to version 26 then back up to 27 (we are running OS 27 now)

is this the only solution?

If you have a MkIV on V27 or higher then the Accept screen should only stay on for a few seconds and then go off on it's own.

The StealthOne also has a feature to override the Accept screen.

I just got my X5 last week, so I'm sure I have the newest version, and this is how mine works. It stays on for about 15 seconds and then goes off on its own, or I can tap the right knob and it will go off before then.

2003 and newer X5's have the MkIV. If it says DVD on the face plate of the nav drive then you have a MkIV.

You have an X3 no? All X3's have MKIV's.

On version 27, the accept screen dissapears after 8 seconds.

I thought you also had to have the latest version of the Navtech DVD - 2006-1????

I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think the map DVD has an impact on this. :dunno:

Your right... 0 impact... The map dvd only provides the physical map data to the MKIV nothing else.
