General Destinations
 

I just updated my nav DVD to 2006-2 and realized I can no longer select 'General Destinations' as a way to find a POI. Is this the correct behavior? I read in a previous post that the General Destinations and Travel Information are now merged? If so, how would I, for example, browse restaurants that begin with E at my destination? Wouldn't a search for E return all restaurants with an E anywhere in its name?

You are correct, General Destinations and Travel Information are merged. So yes, we do lose a bit of flexibility. Like you, I did like the way that the former General Destinations did its search. Although more basic, sometimes I wanted basic. Also, a search on "E" would return every restaurant with "E" anywhere in its name.
