Need help on nav upgrade PLEASE!!

Hi, I've upgraded my nav system from SW 2-1/24 to the latest v27.1. All loaded O.K and I now get SW 2-1/81. Problem is I still can't do a postcode search other than London postcodes (I could do that with the old system) and I can't get perspective view. I've tried going to set and holding menu down for about 10 seconds but when the service mode screen appears there is no perspective setting. I know it's not on the first screen that shows but when I scroll down there isn't a second screen.I 've tried loading it again but no luck. Any help would be GRRRRRREAT! Thanks

Perspective mode is not available with a MkII or MkIII nav drive. In order to get that you'll need to replace the nav drive with a MkIV.

Thanks!

Thanks for that.
I'd of been searching for ages looking for it!! Any idea what the upgrade does do? Doesn't look any different to me

minor bug fixes and speed algorithm improvements. Nothing major.

El Jeffe,

I have MKIV, 27.1 and 2006-2 (bought on ebay) in my 2001 4.4i Sport. Everything works fine but I can't see how to set it up for Post Code Search. Could you enlighten me please?

Thanks, JG

As noted, this only works with the 2006.2 and newer map DVD's. To do this, go to where you normally enter the city and you'll see that there are also numbers that you can select. Enter the 5 digit zip code and you'll have the location you are looking for.

Brilliant and thanks! Works fine. Pretty obvious really but I couldn't see the wood for the trees as they say in this part of the world!
