Another thing to try ...

Hi,

Can I add to this (for those that come after me) that I tried both holding the eject for three minutes ... and disconnecting the power and then repowering with the button held in and neither worked.

What did work was repeatedly pressing the eject button for what appeared to be an eternity (several minutes). The CD then ejected and loading a different CD then successfully upgraded the software.

Regards,

Brian

:iagree: - after reading and pleading on several forums, that is exactly what I did when mine was stuck - the navicomp eventually got annoyed with me pressing the button and spat the CD out :nanana:

I was on the verge of taking the Mk4 apart to manually extract the CD. A VERY scary moment but if you persevere it will come out eventually.
