I ran convertor with both UK & Eur.asc files in the same folder and it created the IFX & URL files, but the strange thing was the files were smaller in size than when I converted just the UK.asc!

How can I create 2 POI, 1 for UK cameras & 1 for Eur cameras?

Regards

Jason

You can download it from the link with the rest of the customised English files, here :

k690bpp :

The url correct is :

http://www.ravestation.net/bmw/poi/m...idxurl_mk4.exe

mcrussell :

The files are IDX and URL, not IFX.

You must be sure convert both with POIConverter to Tom Tom ASCII .asc, follow the steps in the page.

I also want to have this "special" feature and tried to customize it for a german version. But the button called "Blitzer" (in english "speed cameras") isn't available.
Can anyone customize it for german use? I also want to ask if my format in the .asc file is correct:
8.54586, 49.31869, "[1642]"

Perhaps there is a problem, because i took ~9800 speed cameras ???

If the "Blitzer" option is not there on your new disk then you have made an error at some point.

Did you copy the files into the GER folder and make sure that you set the language code to GER in them?

There should be no problem with 9800 POI's, the "Petrol Stations" catagory has many more than this. Even if there was somthing wrong with the POIs you would still get the menu option.

The file format you give looks like the .ASC format before converting it with the POI conversion program.

Excellent Job Richard, this works great.

I am new to this forum, and have done a fair amount of searching to try to get to grips with a few things. With regard to the proximity warning for the speed cameras, does anyone know the following (apologies if this has been asked before).

Does anyone have the source code for the Nav OS? And the language its written in? Also are there any emulators available for the nav hardware?

I am guessing that the way the nav works things out is, on a route A to B there is so many routing options (or points) that it must tell the driver about? If we could make the speed camera one of these routing options then the nav would inform the driver 'Speed Camera in 3/4 mile" (or whatever voice file we tell it to play) etc just like it does when you approach a roundabout i.e. "In 3/4 mile go straight ahead at roundabout".

I know this is probably not the nicest way, by hardcoding the points into the routing, but i would guess it seems the most likely to work?

If anyone has the source code have they tried messing with this part of the routing?

Bill.

:dunno:

For insert POI, i dont need source code of DVD, the files idx and url are data s packed.

This feature : warning poi, only can insert it in software of gps, actually is v27, and the source code isn't public.
