Nav Question

I want to disconnect my nav to move it up in the bracket as I'm installing a new DVD player. Question is, if I disconnect the nav does it have to be re-programmed at the dealers or will it just load up again ok when reconnected??

I'm not 100% sure if it's ok, but I've disconnected mine and it worked nicely afterwards. (I've disconnected both connectors to get hold of each cable colour and pin numbers)

I have almost all options besides tv - bluetooth, assist, etc - and nothing went away from the navi system.

Ok thanks for that! I take you dont have TV because you havent got the module installed? I have TV in mine.

All works fine!! Easy job. Just noticed when you remove the Nav everything still works just fine on the screen anyway accept obviously the map. But I also noticed that the screen has more color choices without the Nav but when the Nav is hooked up again the color choices disappear.

I could be mistaken, but when you take off the nav, then the TV module takes over the functions of the Nav screen (somewhere here I've read that the TV module mimics the nav screen... BTW, nice looking X5.. :)

Yeah think your right as the screen looked more or less the same. Some very small differences but it all worked fine!
