Navi question

Hey gang! In my Navigation settings, I still don't know whether to keep it on "shortest route" or "Quickest route." Does anyone know the difference and which is the better option?

shortest route takes you along a route that is the shortest distance from point A to point B. This includes back roads and streets that may have low speed limits.

quickest route typically will route you via highways or major roadways, which will frequently get you there quicker then taking the backroads (but not always)

That will turn off or on a reminder "gong" (and the time displays in the dash MID) when it is 15 seconds before the top of the hour. Some people use this feature so that they can switch radio stations and catch the news at the top of the hour.
