Problems loading new OS!!!
 

i have a 97 740i..i had version 1-1/7.1 before and i tried to load version 28...after i installed it a black screen sayin your installation was succesfull software version 8.0...press ok to continue...so i did this and went back to settings and my version says 1-1/7.2....i thought version 8 would show up as something different and there is no change in my menus or the navigation..its exactly the same as before...so i tried to load version 27 but it wont let me...everytime i put that cd in the black screen that says version 8.0 is installed comes up and it wont let me do anything else...does anyone know whats going on with this??

You have the latest version. 1-1/72 is the newest version available for the MKI system, and it has not changed since the V17 OS distribution disk. That is why the V27 disk does not load-- it has the same MKI software as the V28 disk. You would have to go back to the V16 disk or earlier to load something different on the MKI.

can i still use the newest map cd 2006.2?? with the OS version that i have?
