Help: Mk3 to Mk4 gone bad....
 

on a 2002 X5, with a Mk3 CD based nav, we obtained and installed a 2003 Mk4 DVD nav. Installed, coded - worked for 2 minutes. Then stopped. Cannot get it to re-code. Cannot get it to work.

When you push navigation, it goes to a grey split screen and is "stuck."

What do you mean by coded, then re-coded? Are you talking about the Nav OS update?

no - I used a factory level diagnostic computer like BMW's DIS (Autologic) and "coded" the nav computer to the car.

I have not been able to get past this in order to update the Nav OS.
