The part number should be on that sticker on top of the unit.

What's it out of? :dunno:

Seller says from an 06 X5. Part number listed pulls nothing off of realoem w/s. Number listed: 65.50 9128713-01 625421 Lear 239943 22 HW: CO3/SW: 7.00.37:confused: provided by seller:mad: which really should be 65 50 9 128 713. I wish I could read the sticker though:banghead:

A couple things. First, BMW radio / NAV part numbers are weird - there are separate part numbers for new vs. remanufactured units, so you should always try increasing and decreasing the last group by 1 - 714 and 712 in this case. But that doesn't help in this case - this part isn't in the August 2006 global price file, which is the newest one I have available.

The only 65 50 9 xxx xxx parts in the file are 65 50 9 126 251, "VIDEO-MODULE, HIGH, UNCODED" and ... 252, the same but remanufactured.

65 12 9 128 713 is "DVD PLAYER", but my August 2006 ETK doesn't show any use for that part.

Is it possible that this is an accessory DVD (entertainment) player for rear seat occupants?

Tell him to send you a pic of sticker on top. Does not look like it belongs to X5 dash.

The problem is that BMW components made by outside vendors often don't have complete BMW part numbers on them.

In any event, I think my guess was right. This http://www.autospies.com/news/AUTO-S...7-BMW-X5-9303/ link shows a 2007 X5 with rear DVD system. If you look down at the controls, you can make out something that looks like the original poster's unit.

07 rear entertainment sys

Well this definitely looks like the part. I knew it was for the rear entertainment sys but for a 06, I wasn't too sure. I still need a good part #. You won't believe how much I won it for:)

DVD player is the middle one
