Mk IV DVD Navigation V28
Thanks, have now managed to download the file. I now have 2 files, 1st is V28.mdf and the other is V28.mds. Do I just burn these two files to a CD now?
Cheers |
you use ultraiso or alcohol120 to "open" the image, then burn to cd, do not just copy the files onto a blank cd, that will not work.
|
UltraIso IMHO is rubbish - it is fine for copying ISO images to your HDD but useless for burning those images to a CD/DVD (For me, at least...). Use Alcohol 120% at the slowest possible burn speed - thats worked fine for me for 2 years. Make sure that both of your mdf & mds files are in a unique folder on your PC. Open Alcohol & select that folder under "Image Burn". Initially you will only see the mdf file displayed - which may cause you concern - but Alcohol will automatically burn both the mdf & mds files to a CD-R & "Presto" - you have a useable V28 CD.....

Horses for courses :)
I have used ultraiso for all my cd based images without a problem...both reading and writing (CD and DVD), and imgburn to write all my dvd based images, and had zero failures. Go with what you like :) |
ccf1: Perhaps you can help me then. The "Burn" function on my UltraIso programme does nothing - not even an error message. When I click on it absolutely nothing happens. Needless to say, this causes considerable frustration in having to save the UltraIso DVD image to the HDD then use Alcohol to burn that image!
Where have I gone wrong - as surely I have, if you can burn... |

Hi,
Used UltrISO and worked a treat, took 3 minutes to burn. I have updated the DVD now but have a few more questions: 1) How do I get perspective View 2) Which is better as I have both 2007-1 Hgh DVD and 2007-1 Professional DVD Cheers, Andrew P.S. Does anyone know what time my mum will be back |

I've also only ever used Ulta ISO to burn DVD's, OS CD's, MP3 CD's. Never had a problem with this software. I registered to allow me to burn the larger images. Currently using UltraISO version 8.2.0.1669

Perspective mode has been covered a thousand times, go to the hidden service menu by pressing the menu button while in the settings screen, scroll down to the bottom, change Perspective to be Yes. Then you will have a new menu option when setting the map direction from the standard menus, select Perspective. |
Perspective View
Hi, I know there have been thousands of threads about this and I have read most of them. The latest I've tried was to push and hold the button down for 8 seconds when you are over the SET menu. Nothing happens. I just tried with the map running and selected maps but all I have is NORTH or Directional?
1. Turn ignition to position I 2. Move right-button to SET 3. Press and HOLD for 8 seconds Result = Nothing! Help! |
You must be IN the settings menu, not just with the settings option highlighted on the main menu. The button you hold is the 'Menu' button.
