New TVonNAV Product for Video Input.
Hello,
Here is the new product we are offering: http://www.tvonnav.com/bmwrgb.html It is a 2 Video Input system that allows you to input up to 2 video sources to your front navigation screen. The first input is controlled by a button on the navigation screen, and the second input is activated when the vehicle is put into reverse. The system can accept a NTSC, PAL or SECAM video input. The unit is designed to be plug and play. Please feel free to call us or email us with any additional questions. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |
what about audio is there any in puts for that? or is it just video?
thanks............. |
Hello,
The input is just for Video. You can do Audio using an FM Modulator, AUX Input or a CD Changer AUX Input. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |

All in one solution is on it's way. But it will be more expensive.
Parag with TVonNAV |
no disrespect but $500 for just video is a little high whats it going to be for video and audio $1000 might as well just pay a bit more and get the tv tunner.
|
The Video/Audio integrated unit will be priced at about $599.
This is a solution that was developed for people that were upset about the current price for video integration. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |
that's great!
i think this doesn't require the video tuner to use........... |

THANKS............ |
I would like to say 3-5 weeks for retail production units.
We may have some final evaluaiton units ready in 2-3 weeks. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |
Parag,
I would like to get some additional details that I couldn't find on your website. Does this put an input on the nav screen for TV? OR... Is it an overlay system... where it overlays the video over the image on the screen? How does it work with the navigation if it's active? Will each nav direction interrupt the picture, and if so, does it cycle back to the video input after the directions finish, or does it require choosing the "activation button". If there is not an input on the nav for TV, how do you get into video input mode? Thanks Parag, cjett |
Hello,
The unit is essentiall a video overlay. Meaning, we are overwiriting the information on screen. Whatever is being done by your NAV drive in the background is still happening but will not show up on your screen. You change into video mode by pressing and holding the Radio Menu button on your NAV screen. Hope this helps. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |
Thanks Parag. Not sure if you can answer... but what are the differences between your unit, and the Soundgate unit?
The price for the Soundgate is $349.00 from Logjam... is yours better in some way (to justify the premium price)? Thanks again, cjett |
Cjett,
Excellent Question! Why our product is worth $100 more: 1. No Relays: All Solid State. (Video Signal can jump relays.) 2. 2 Chip Analog to Digital Video Conversion (Not Analog to Analog) 3. Auto Color Correction, no POTs to tune. 4. Powder Coated Aluminum Casing. (Not Plastic) (RF Noise Shielded) 5. Size. Our unit is about 1/2 the size. Biggest Reason: 6. NAV Screen Integration, Press a button on the NAV Screen to change to Video. (NOT A TOGGLE SWITCH) Hope this helps you in making an informed decision. Thanks, Parag with TVonNAV |
Good stuff and great answers. Thanks Parag. Decisions, Decisions.
