Not exactly "Safe mode" more of a crashed Nav mode.
Sounds like a corrupted OS to me, not enough to lock the Nav but enough to crash intermittently. It could be a crap map disc, some drives are very sensitive to map disc errors, I had one a while back kept rebooting the nav when selecting the PIO menu, so I binned the disc and burned another disc (at a slower speed) and no more crashes. I've been running V29.1 for a while now and no problems, I always use a brand new quality disc and write at x1 speed, it takes longer but it works. Down grade to v28 and then re-upgrade again. |

That is the TV tuner generating the graphics, when the TV tuner detects thast no navigation system is present (because the nav has been removed, or it has crashed). 'monochrome' means black and white. 'blue and white colours only' is not monochrome, it is colour Jochen |
itīs working fine, i think the map cd was bad. havenīt had any crashes after i made a new map cd. itīs hard to find a cd which can be burned with 1x, minimum speed is usually 10x.
