Video Input

Have a look at www.freischaltmodul.de. This is a TV free modul with connections for an additional audio input, costing 160 euro. With an additional adapter for 29 euro you will have an additional audio/video input. Functions with existing buttons on monitor and shows information on the display in the instrument cluster. So for 189 euro you'll get more for a lot less money. Cheers, WSE

Anybody considering buying from the above source may want to checkout Google and other BMW boards for "Richard Mastny" (the owner of Freischlatmodule.de and several other domains) .... Feedback on his products is less than stellar and many folks have sent him money without receiving any products or if they received them they didn't work or have been built very poorly. There is a reason why the working modules from reputable companies cost more than 29 Euro :bustingup

A very good company is Audiotechnik Dietz and their BMW Multimedia Interface

Thanks for the reply. Didn't know that.
That's the great thing about these forums: sharing information.

As i said before, you can do this all yourselfs for far less .... UK £55.00 for video while in motion adaptor, and use PINS to get AV input/outputs.

Yes could you please elaborate, it seems like you need to tap into some wires off the nav harness, by looking at the tv free harness it appears this can be done without too much fuss using the wiring schematics
