Code as an option?
I just installed a bluetooth module in my car and now it wont read the NAV DVD. There is an option below telephone called code that is grayed out when the car is running but selectable when just the ignition is on. I had assumed that this was to change the bluetooth code but I am pretty sure that its hard coded. Everything works fine but it will not read the NAV disc. Is this code prompt and the NAV disc problem related?
Thanks... |
No, that Code option is the engine disable code. If you enter a code, no one else can start the car until they re-enter the same code.
The nav disk problem is unrelated. Did anything else change while you were doing the install? Did you remove the nav computer? Did you disconnect the battery during the install? Is the disk a copy or an original Navteq disk? |

Nothing changed when putting in the bluetooth. It was all plug and play. The drive does make a noise like the disc is rubbing on something as its spinning. I had an appointment this morning for service, so I am just going to have them look at it. BTW, it is the original disc. |
