Guidance Not Available?
 

Hi All,

I just installed a new 2007 Map CD in my 2001 X5 and now I seem
to have lost the voice prompts for directions. The map loads, displays
and shows my position just fine but there is a text prompt stating " Guidance Not Available".

Any ideas on what has gone wrong? Maybe I need an OS update?

Follow up...
 

Hi,

Well I just drove into town, Kalispell, MT, and the voice prompts started
working. As soon as I leave the town area they stop. What's strange
is the mapping and visual directions are displayed just fine outside of town.

Any idea why the voice prompts would stop even though it still knows
where it is on the map?

What version of the OS is your nav drive currently on?
