i am new to this forum but have used it several times in the past.....
My widescreen display seems to have lost its 'back lit illumination'....
I have stripped it apart and adjusted the finer colours, which helped a bit,however it did nothing for the 'back illumination' of the screen...
My local dealer just wants me to order a new one, there must be a simple explanation for this .....please help.....thank you:dunno:

The simple answer is that the illumination circuitry has failled. Replace the LCD part of the screen with a 2nd hand unit from eBay - likely to be the cheapest option for you.
