NavCoder Problem
I retrofited nav and tv in 2004 x5 usa made.
nav and tv are mk2 version. I tried navcoder 2.2.2 version, it reads messages from ibus on log window. But when scaning tv and nav ,navcoder finds modules, but writes "no identification found" (or something similar). navcoder is unable to read setings from tv and nav. what can I do? |
check your timeout value, it may be too low. Try setting it to 1000ms
Switch the radio off to reduce ibus traffic, there may be message clashes happening And does you nav system work...? |
timeout is 1000, retry is 4.
i have not nav cd and I dont use it, onboard monitor works without tv-module too. I tried to switch off radio. Maybe the problem is mk2 version nav and tv? |
It is quite possible that the Mk2 does not provide the identiifcation data.
If the radio is providing the ID (part number, manufacture date etc) but the nav is not, then the issue is that the nav does not respond to that data request. does nayone else here have experience with a Mk2 and NavCoder? I've never seen a Mk2 nav ;-) |
I coded a MKII with NavCoder. It worked fine. I sold the car with the MKII, so I do not have access to it to try again.

Brian, was it X5 or other BMW?
