Problem with MK3 Nav on 03 M3

I started having this problem about three months ago, I have 2003 M3 MK3 Nav 2007.1 and Firmware v29.1, first there is a delay, the GPS is always behind as I drive, the worst is on freeway speed, second it seems like it stops and go, it’s not moving as the car is, third if am driving on the far right lane on the freeway, and I pass an exit, the GPS will show that I took the exit, half a mile later maybe less, it will correct itself and get back. I took the car to the dealer, they put in an extra GPS antenna and put in a new GPS computer “whatever in the trunk” that did not fix it. I am schedule to see BMW rep later on this moth, has anybody seen this before ??

Check your wheel pulses - are they working? this is most likely the problem.
Observe them in the GPS service mode. Wheel pulses should be positive and increase with speed when going forwards, negative when backwards.
Check the direction of travel, Backwards when in reverse, forwards in all other gears.
Make sure gyro sites at approx 2500mV, going up to 3000 when turning right, down to 2000 when going left.

what option is the wheel pules ?? or where can find it

Nav service menu: Press Set, then press and hold MENU and wait.

After 10s display will switch to service mode
Observe wheel pulses in Sensor check (car must be moving!)

I go under Sensor check thats all I see
Wheel Sensors
GPS Satellties
GPS Status
Gyro
Directions

I don't see a wheel pulse ??

Wheel sensor = wheel pulse. Same thing.

Make sure it works - increases as speed increases, shows negative when going backwards

when I watched it, its said 1, it never change, car moving or not

KiwiJochen, thank for all your help, I took car to the dealer on Monday, showed them that I am not getting any reading off the wheel sensor or the pulse, they found the wire between the GPS unit in the trunk and sensor was bad, changed it, now its all working good

Thank you again
