3-1/63. Any disk V22 or higher will take you to that level.

I just downloaded V30 which I wanted to try tonight. That one will work right? Is there a link somewhere I can change my splash screen or create one? Thanks for your help.

Yes, V30 will work just fine. There are several threads here on MkIII splash screens, such as http://www.xoutpost.com/navigation-sy...sh-screen.html

You need to burn the OS Disc at Mode2
Otherwise your MKIII won't load it and goes to black screen....

If you update from V17 to the actual version, you will need a key CD too.

i just updated to the latest version and didn't need a key. also i don't know if i burned it in mode2 but the screen is working and not black. one thing i do need is help in changing the splash screen for that. i've read the instructions and it's quite complicated. maybe i just didn't take the time to read and apply but can someone assist me? thanks.

It is complicated. There is no simple way. But it can be summed up as:

1. Replace the GIF file
2. Increment the OS version number
3. Burn a new CD
4. Load the OS

Of course, you must be sure of various things - like only burning in Mode2/Form1 format, making sure the version number is updated, etc
