This weekends was playing with NavCoder..... I don't know It is bug or...I don't know what else this could be.... after the diconnection the interface I found that Speed limit is fixed and swithed ON, date and time is changed and in the date all "0" are shown like "C", Aux vent is switched ON as well (on 11.00 ;-) )..... All this parameters are changing in Set menu without problems but....... is it BUG?

NavCoder is a PC application that allows you to program the navigation computer and set various options, such as loading of any 3 x desired languages, change region settings, set the chassis number, etc

It runs on a PC, the PC connects via a serial port to the ibus in the car.

You can also:
1. set the TV so that it works in motion
2. set various LCM options to disable light bulb warning messages
3. read and set various bluetooth options
4. read all device information part numbers etc
5. diagnose faults in the car by showing what data messages are being transmitted around the car.

It is a strange problem that i aware of but have never found the reason why.

It appears to be a data clash whereby a message is being interpreted by the IKE as a message to change date/time etc

So far my theory is that it occurs when a data clash on the databus occurs.

This should never happen, and the IKE should ignore all invalid data. But somehow it decides to accept the invalid data

what type of connection do I need to connect the pc with the bmw and where is this connection in the car locate?

You need an interface. Build your own from circuit on the board or buy a Resler interface (resler.de). Hook laptop to interface, hook interface to car at a point where you can get 12 volts, ground, and I-bus. Get the SW for navcoder from kiwijochen and go. I have a 3 pin plug connected in the trunk of my e38 for hookup. There are points near the left trunk area where you can find the 3 wires.

It is clear for me that it should not be like this but it's fact!

Just one idea why this happens - I used neither Resler Interface nor interface from attached to the program archive. I used ordinary KL-line adapter.....

I want to change the language of my bluetooth module.
Can this be done with navcoder?
It doesn't change language with the navi.
