Question about Nav DVD

Does anyone where the map info is stored on the DVD? When you open it using ultraiso, is it in the "DB" folder or in the "ntcbus-na***" folder that is in the "tpd" folder? I was thinking that if the new maps were in the "ntcbus..."or "nccbus..." folder, couldn't you just replace the old folder in the high version with the new one from the business or professional version (since the file structure looks pretty much the same) and just make a new DVD that way? TIA.

It is the DB folder that contains map data, and if you compare those in high and pro you will se a huge diference so no go there
TPD are basicly POI-s, eaven that the file names look similar the file structure wihin the files is diferent so no go there eather

thanks guys...i experimented yesterday by replacing the info from the "ntcbus..." folder from the 2008.1 pro into an older high DVD and it worked, but the map looked the same, so i figured it wasn't in there...just wanted to make sure it wasn't.

Maybe 2008.1 didn't have any updates to the area you were looking at?

I went to the map reporter on the navteq website and it shows the post-construction street map with the new street configuration, so I'm assuming that it's on the 2008.1 since it was released not too long ago. But you're right, maybe it was just reported and hasn't updated to the DVDs yet. It doesn't say on the website that it updated streets in Los Angeles County for 2008.1, so unless they did it in 2007.2, it's not updated yet.
