problem reading disc
 

My Mkiv DVD will not read the DVD map.it comes up with error cannot read disc.
It will read the CD software disc which i have reinstalled V30 and then it reboots so something is working.I have then tried both HIGH and PROFESSIONAL discs-no luck.This was a retrofit and I know the DVD unit is not new but as it reads and uploads the software one would assume the DVD map would work.Any ideas or do I have a faulty drive.

there are two different lasers in the MkIV - one to read CD's and one to read DVD's. It's possible that the laser that reads DVD's has gone bad or needs cleaned.
