Great work KiwiJochen ! Thanks for all your efforts on this great tool.

I am new to using the tool so excuse a dumb question but where can I view the service data you mention in the changes - is that in scan all modules ?

Also I assume this tool cant be used with iDrive vehicles at all ?

thanks,
Seedar

Service info data is one of the messages that is broadcast by the car upon startup, NavCoder translates the message into plain text

There is no special menu option, it just appears in the main message window and can be viewed in the log file

Jochen

And iDrive vehicles have no ibus, so this tool cannot be used on the newer iDrive cars

Thanx Jochen. Good work as usuall. Is it far away with coding the LCM for different "running daylight" options. e.g parking + fog lights on when engine starts?

How do I use this? I have the MK4 system in my 03 540.

StumpyPete 07-07-2008 10:32 AM

I just wish someone would invent a way to do similar things on Idrive - I get so jealous of you guys modding away!

Sorry, I don't speak Italian.

NavCoder can switch off headlight bulb monitoring, which is what is required when upgrading standard lights to Xenon lights.

NavCoder cannot alter the SA code (accessories coding) of the vehicle to include Xenon Lights. Changing the SA code is only necessary so that any diagnostics equipment knows that Xenons are fitted.

Ok ,,

Hi Jochen,

When I try to read my LCM (///M3 e46), it says that it belongs to a e39. Is it normal? Maybe by this when I tried to delete the check control errors for my LEDs... it didn't work.

Any idea?

Many many thanks in advance,
Manu.
