How do I search for an POI?

Hello all,

Man i have been reading for a few hours now & I am missing something. I just bought an 05 330I coupe about 2 weeks ago. I upgraded to v31 (from v24) tonight w/o any issues... enabled 3D mode which is really cool... My main question is, how the heck do I search for a POI rather than always having to know the address? Is there a way to search by a phone #????? Any help would be greatly appreciated... I see the Pimpmynav program but it's not clear that is what enables POI in the menu, that just looks like how you add POI...

In one of my menu sections, "Hide POIs is greyed out".... Please help!!!!!

At first you should select some POI which you want to be shown on the screen....... for example, Hotels, Airports or any other you want...... it should appear onthe map

Sorry but that didn't really make any sense? I don't see a menu in which I can say which POI's to show. I don't see a menu option for anything to do about a location...

Do i have to update my NAVTEQ dvd to get these extra options? I would have thought I would have seen the additional menu options when I upgraded to v31????

Look for the Menu - Information...... As far as I remember - the last point in navigation menu

that was it, thanks a bunch...

Man.... Information are you serious BMW, couldn't you have called something else besides Information... how about Categories????? then you get in the next menu, it's still not clear (it's the middle selection what ever that says...)

I was pleased to see it list the phone # & i could call it once I get the bluetooth option hooked up...

Thanks for your help!!!!!!
