key CD or V17
 

Okay, bought the V32 software - am upgrading software from the ORIGINAL version that came with the car, 3-1/20! (build 12/00)

V32 loaded smoothly, then asked for key CD or Version 17 - I searched the threads - the V17 link comes up blank - the key CD clone, I downloaded and burned, twice (last was burned at slowest speed possible) - both discs were rejected by the Mk3 nav

Need suggestions on what to do now.

Still no V17 disk, but the BMW mechanic had a v17 disk, but it was "index u" vs "index x" - got the screen back - now shows 3-1/30 vs previous 3-1/20 :confused: - haven't tried a nav disk yet - will let y'all know how that turns out

Added the newer radio & M5 steering wheel (pics coming) - mechanic asked me why the new radio unit did not have a DSP hookup - evidently the car was wired for DSP, but original sticker shows no premium sound or DSP :confused: :dunno:
