4:3 Bordmonitor display fault
 

Can anyone help diagnose why my nav screen (4:3 bordmonitor) has got a thin (pixel type) colour line dividing the viewed image in half. The line appears over the radio, cd, tape, sat nav and tv features. This may not be connected but this came up shortly after installing a tv in motion cable and av lead (connected to a DVD player). I have tried putting back the tv module wiring as factory but the line is still there.

The LCD display has a bad contact on the screen, or the display driver chip has failed. Both issues are very difficult to fix, and if it was my screen, I wouldn't try.

Time to consider an upgrade to wide screen.

Or otherwise ask around the board for someone with an old unwanted 4:3 screen and use it to recondition yours. The display part of the on-board monitor is very easy to replace.
