Speedtrap Mashup

The Speedtrap Mashup by NJECTION is a very interesting web app that shows speed traps in your area. I can't tell how accurate it might be or how stale the info might be. The data is gathered from individual uploads and not verified.

I'm interested in the NJECTION Mobile that they're producing for the iPhone.

My question is for those that know a lot more about navigation systems. Right now, NJECTION enables downloads of these speed traps to Garmin, Tom Tom, etc. Is there any way that these downloads could ever be done to the E70 Navigation systems?

My personal view is that speed camera info is like anti-virus signatures - you need accurate, up-to-date information otherwise you're wasting your time. PocketGpsWorld.com has been very successful due to their rigourous verification procedure, so in my view, I'd rather pay a few $ for this than not know the quality of the info I'm using.

Yes, TomTom, Garmin and other POI formats can be loaded onto your vehicle's Nav. You can take a manual approach or a more automated one.

BabyMakingWeather,

Thanks for that great info!

Going to have to spend some time going through that.
