Mounting Ext. Navigation over the Vent?
 

I just ordered a Garmin 880 and recently saw a picture here where someone mounted their portable nav on a center vent (pic attached). I can't seem to find the thread where I downloaded the picture - has anyone done something similar to this? I'd like to explore options aside from the typical window mount. TIA.

Nav units, phone cradles etc. mounted over vents have always looked rubbish in my opinion, it's not like there isn't enough space on top of the dash!

I have a better mounting bracket for you.... check it out, you could buy it from Costco, it works much better then any glass suction devices...... I just bought this with a Garmin 650..... Does Rubbish mean Good ???:rofl:

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I haven't bought our Nav yet, at the time i created this thread I had one on order but when I was told it was back ordered I cancelled it. I'm thinking of getting the nuvi 880 but am not sure if the Voice Recognition works well or is even worth it.
