MK3 white screen reset?
 

Hi,

I had to disconnect my battery while replacing my alternator. The display is now white. Disconnected GPS unit for 30 min, still nothing. Any MK3 troublesooting advice? thank you!

Nav flash memory got corrupted during battery disconnect.

Confirm by trying nav computer in another car.

To repair, either replace entire nav computer (get a Mk4!) or send to Siemens-VDO in Wetzlar Germany for re-flashing.

Thank you for the advice, I reallly appreciate it. MK4 is the way to do but still too expensive for me... paul
