High or Professional question?

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before - I'm sure it has, but 20 minutes of different searches hasn't found the thread I'm looking for.

I have a 2003 330 with a Mk4 16:9 (colour) DVD nav system. I've just upgraded it to v32 using advice from this site.

My current navigation disk is a TeleAtlas (VDO-Dayton) 2006-2007 CD - it has 5 digit postcode search. I've read that the 2008 DVDs have full 7-digit codes, but there are two versions - Professional or High.

How do I tell which I have? Can I tell from the current CD? Settings menu?

Thanks in advance, and once again, sorry if you've answered this already :s

You need the High. The pro is for the new cars with MOST bus.

2008-2 CD/DVD does not have 7 digit postcode search.

I think that the ability to do a 7 digit postcode search would require a firmware update (beyond V32) to allow extra digits to be accepted in the 'City/Postcode' destination field AND a map CD/DVD with the 7 digit postcode file on it.

In the UK, this is Post Office proprietary and would cost ( although I would happily pay extra). Unless it's already on the CD but cannot be accessed by V32 firmware.

You would think the price BMW charge for these disks - it would be included by now!!!
