2003 BMW M3 NAVIGATION FAILED
 

Hi everyone. I'm a new member with nav issue. Own a 2003 BMW M3 with 9910 miles. It is not under warranty. it was totalled by dealer in 2006. I fixed the car to original condition. Put 9000 thousand miles so far with no problems except navigation. First time took it to the dealer cost $539.00 and still did not work. Second time cost $159.00 still not working. First problem was it did not recognise the dvd in the drive. I assume after spending hours reading here it was the laser drive. But now I have bigger issue. Couple of weeks ago as I was opening the door from inside the car I hit the lock button on my key remote. Car went crazy, the door locks start jumping quickly and navigation screen opened all by itself. Did not close for a while. After that incident the nav screen doesn't work I cannot listen the cd player. First problem is the laser drive. But what the hell with nav screen not working anymore???:dunno:
