HELP!!! RECONGIZED UPDATE CD BUT BLANK SCREEN
 

i made a copy of update v32 for my mkiii and it recongized the cd started to update the screen went blank and hasnt done anything... it will spit the cd out, suck it back it , eventually spit it out again...

Correct me if I am wrong, but you don't really need to update your MKIII after v22 because it looks like BMW stopped development for MKIII, the software version 3-1/63 is high as it goes. All the latest software versions are meant mostly for MKIVs.

Anyways, in your case I would try to burn another good quality CD-R in slow speed and try it again. See what happens, this might help but at least it won't make it worse than it already is.

If that doesn't work, I would try to burn v27, for example, and then try it again.

Also make sure that the OS image is mode2, not mode1, I think that's the problem.

Here is a mode2 version of v31, this will work in both the M3 and MK4.

Burn at either x1 speed or the slowest rated for the blank CD.
