Problem after Nav retrofit

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and would like to get some help with a problem with my car.

...I know you guys drive X3s, but my car is a 2008 E87 (116i) to which I retrofitted a Navigation system from an E90 (parts are interchangeable... I think with the X3 too) and by reading your posts I can tell you have much more knowledge than my friends from the 3 and 1 series forums.

This is the issue: everything works fine after the retrofit (which I did myself), but the image on the screen appears uncentered....I took the car to BMW to code the CCC after the installation was completed, but they don't know what the problem is.

It looks like my CCC still thinks it is installed in a E90, which has a wider screen... my guess is that after proper coding this should be solved. The only response the tech at BMW gave me is that my CCC is too old (2005) to be coded to my car, which is a 2008 model... but being a software issue I have to doubt it before buying a new unit

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello!

Yes this problem is possible if you have "Old" CCC hardware number.
In this case your way is to change your CCC unit with a new one.

Can you post ccc P\N here?
I will try to check it...

Regards
