gps navi off

Hey I updated mt MK IV navi a wile ago its very cool.. The other day I put a address and the house was in the middle of the street and the navi took me the the end of the street and tested it on a few other adresses and did the same.
Is this a problem with the softwear updat cuz it never did that befor.

No, the software will be fine.

It'll be the map that doesn't have the street numbers correctly recorded on the map

Welcome to the world of digital maps - they can have errors :-)

:iagree: ...One could not get to either of my houses using oem NAV,
or any brand of GPS. Getting to the Mtn house I sort of understand,
but our FL house is smack in the middle of the 'burbs.

And our house number isn't even on the Navteq maps, even though the house was built in 2001 and I have now logged a 'map error' with Navteq support 5 times, the last two even supplying them with Google Maps images and extract from our Post Office streets and postcodes database.

Navteq are quite shoddy in getting up to date mapping, and in fact on one of the 'updates' they actually undid an update whereby a road name had changed. They got it put right on the 2005 DVD and then undid it on the 2007 DVD

You can also go to http://mapreporter.navteq.com/dur-we...ER&language=en and report errors so that future disk updates have the proper information

New disks can be ordered at http://navteq.com

ok i just tested it again with a few addresses and it brings me allways to the end of the street not to the house

And they take absolutely no notice :dunno: They won't even put right the house numbering in our street, even though I have reported it 5 times, and a couple of friends have also reported it. Shambles :(
