POISoN - Custom sound alerts

OK, so here's a new thread for everyone to post their custom sound alerts.

Sound alerts vary from language to language due to the words saved in the csf voice file

Using the V32 OS disc, I have created the following phrases.

gb_f.csf
323 322 323 88 237 296 229 285
hibeep-lobeep-hibeep pause caution danger in_front_of_you do_not_overtake

us_f.csf
463 464 463 112 379 260
hibeep-lobeep-hibeep pause caution ahead

463 464 463 112 379 372
hibeep-lobeep-hibeep pause caution in_front_of_you

d_f.csf
437 438 437 127 350 354 335
hibeep-lobeep-hibeep pause Achtung Gefahr vor_Ihnen

Useful phrases for look for warning words in other languages (text below based on GB):

Useful words / phrases

Attention p209
Caution p55
Danger p246
Alert p216, p273
in front of you p66
ahead p70, p72, p79 usw260
ahead (emphasised) p267, p268
do not overtake p237

and the beeps+pause are in these phrases

i can suggest the use of the website that can be found via google searhcing for AT&T Text-to-Speech
You can create directly wav file from text using different voice...

jackthehat 02-04-2009 10:24 AM

I us the one above as well and have now modded the phrase to Hb-beep, lo-beep, speed cameras, ahead.

Can some one do me a favour?

Does any one have a modded eng.lsc file and icons for more than one POI that works on screen, I've been trying to mod extra icons and for some reason they don't appear on screen, any help would be appreciated.

TIA

PM me

Here you have the following advice in Spanish: “Attention, RADAR”. (Another girl’s voice)

Just replace the Wav file with the NavSpeack. It works perfectly.

any idea why both phrases #8 and #9 need to be updated?

KamilFKH 02-04-2009 11:16 AM

Me, I would like to know too.

Maybe one is triggered when approaching POI and the other when leaving POI area. Is it right, Nomad?

Mmmm, I don't think so.

My voice alert just works once by poi.

I asked this earlier from Nomad: current version uses just #9 phrase.

ccfj1 02-05-2009 04:26 AM

I think the main reason behind the #8 + #9 was that the code that covered the audio alert was used in 2 places so both were modded, #8 has some problems when testing so only #9 was used, however TJJ is right #9 is all you need.

I have custom Swedish language and it is as follow
406 407 406 407 84 52 50 373 84 83
Hi Low Hi Low Pause "Varning Område Med Säkerhetskontroller" Pause Ping
It means Warning area with safety control (or something like that)
